    Hereu highlights the Spanish leadership as an industrial and tourist power in the Mediterranean arc

    During his speech, the head of Industry called for reducing the differences that exist between northern Europe and the Mediterranean. "There is a great challenge to fight for equality," he said. The minister recalled that the Spanish Mediterranean arc concentrates about 47% of the national GDP and more than 50% of exports, in addition to being the main industrial pole of the country. This leadership is based on a government-driven transformation strategy that combines reindustrialization, energy transition and innovation. In the field of tourism, the Government of Spain is committed to a model of greater added value and sustainability, focused on the quality of the experience, seasonalization and coexistence with residents.
