    Jordi Hereu announces grants worth 15 million euros to boost energy efficiency in the tourism sector

    Hotels, hospitality establishments, and campsites, among others, will be eligible for the aid. The Minister of Industry and Tourism has recalled the importance of supporting tourism in its transition to triple sustainability, a strategic sector for the Spanish economy in a context of uncertainty due to the global consequences of the war in Iran The deadlines for requesting subsidies, minimum and maximum amounts, as well as other details, will be known soon when the Royal Decree is published that will regulate the subsidies. In Spain there are currently around 300,000 hospitality establishments that employ approximately 1.85 million workers

    Industry strengthens industrial governance in a new High Level Forum

    As a main novelty, the Industrial Dialogue Committee is created, a permanent executive body that will provide greater agility, continuity and effectiveness to the work of the Forum and strengthen public-private collaboration. The new regulation expands the functions of the Forum, strengthening its role in the design, evaluation and monitoring of industrial policies, with the objective of boosting the productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of Spanish industry. With this measure, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism is committed to a more solid, transparent and participatory model of industrial governance.
