    Tourism employment exceeds 3.18 million employed workers, 5.4% more than in the second quarter of 2025

    The Ministry of Industry and Tourism opens this Wednesday the deadline to request energy efficiency grants for hospitality establishments

    The application period will be open from 5th August to 30th September. The call is endowed with 15 million euros, and the grants will range between 5,000 and 11,000 euros per establishment for the renovation machinery and equipment into more efficient ones. The Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez, visited the Asturias International Trade Fair today, where she highlighted the positive impact of investments with EU funds. The Ministry of Industry, through the Secretary of State for Tourism, has mobilized more than 115 million European funds to develop 56 tourism projects in Asturias.

    Industry opens the deadline to apply for aid from the Auto+ Program for the purchase of electric and electrified vehicles

    This support line, provided with 350 million euros for individuals, can be requested until December 31 of this year and is retroactive for purchases made since January 1, 2026. The program offers support of up to 4,500 euros for passenger cars, 5,000 euros for vans and also includes incentives for motorcycles and electric quads.

    The expenditure of international tourists reaches 63,800M€ in the first half of the year, 7% more than in 2025

    From January to June, about 46.6 million international visitors have arrived in our country, 4.6% more than in the same period of the previous year. In June, spending rose to 13.5 billion euros, 4% more than in the same month of 2025, while the number of tourists increased by 2.9%, reaching 9.7 million. Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Andalusia are the main Autonomous Communities of destination in June, and those with the greatest weight in spending.
