Open Government Week (OGW) is a global initiative promoted by the Open Government Partnership, held annually in member countries with the aim of bringing public administrations closer to citizens and promoting the values of open government, which are: transparency, integrity, participation and accountability.

Spain has helped organise eight editions of the event, reaffirming its leadership among the Alliance’s member states.

This year, 2026, Open Government Week will be held from 18 to 24 May.
