History of the library

The Library of the ministry of industry and tourism is a state ownership, which provides its services uninterupted since 1982. At present, it is attached to the sub-department of Studies and publications of the under secretary of the ministry.

Its main aim is to provide documentary support and technical support to the ministry and its organs and units, as well as facilitating access to specialized information to researchers as to outside users interested in the areas of competence of the department.

The Library is part of various networks of library cooperation, includingNetwork of libraries of the General state administration (BAGE),Specialized library catalogue of the General state administration (BIBLESPAGE),Network of centres of environmental information and documentation (RECIDA)andThe committee on Energy Documentation (CDE).
