The Auto+ Programme is the Spanish government's new Programme to support the purchase of cost-effective, European electric and electrified vehicles, which will be implemented in coordination with the autonomous communities.
The Auto+ Programme continues to go to great lengths to foster demand under the MOVES Programme, while also supporting European and Spanish vehicle production.
The Auto+ Programme is a measure and commitment by the Spanish government included in the Auto 2030 Plan and has earmarked a budget of €400 million for 2026.
To be considered eligible under the Auto+ Programme, vehicles must meet two minimum requirements: they must have a ZERO label and they must not exceed the price limits set out in point 7 of this document. All vehicle prices referred to in this document are understood to be invoice prices, excluding taxes and after commercial discounts.
The subsidy will apply to purchases made from 1 January 2026, once the call for applications has been published.
The subsidy is intended for the direct purchase and/or leasing/renting (renting in the case of self-employed workers and companies) of electric motor vehicles, which may be purchased:
Subsidies will be granted for purchasing:
The following table shows the maximum subsidised amount per type of vehicle, bearing in mind that for categories M1 and N1, points of sale will offer an additional discount of at least €1,000 on the sale price:
| Maximum amount of subsidy | *For self-employed workers and companies with up to 10 employees | |
|---|---|---|
| M1 | 4.500€ | 6.000€ |
| N1 | 5.000 | 7.500 |
| L3e, L4e y L5e | 1.100€ | = |
| L6e y L7e | 1.500€ | = |
The subsidy will be calculated as a percentage of the maximum subsidy per category, according to the following formula
| Electric (EEE) | Economic (EEE) | European (EEE) |
|---|---|---|
|
The program is restricted to vehicles with the ZERO label.. Two modulation factors are established for determining the subsidy: A) Pure electric vehicle: 50% of the maximum subsidy amount B) Extended-range electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid: 25% of the maximum subsidy amount |
A) For M1 vehicles, two modulation factors are established for determining the subsidy: 1)Vehicles up to €35,000: 25% of the maximum subsidy amount 2)Vehicles priced above €35,000*: 15% of the maximum subsidised amount B)All other vehicles will be assigned: 25% of the maximum amount of the subsidy. *Vehicles that do not fall within the price limit are excluded from the Programa Auto+. |
The aid will be granted to: A) Vehicles whose assembly and final completion prior to marketing has been carried out in an industrial facility in the EU will be allocated: 15% of the maximum aid If, in addition, part of the battery manufacturing process* is carried out in the EU, they may benefit from an additional: Additional 10% *This process must include, at least, the assembly of the battery packs. (Additional alternative concepts may be proposed to benefit from this 10%). |
Pure electric vehicle: battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
Electrified vehicle: extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
To be eligible for the subsidy, the vehicle purchased may not exceed the following thresholds:
| Maximum price of the vehicle without taxes | |

| M1* | 45.000€ |
| N1 | No limit |
| L3e, L4e y L5e | 10.000€ |

*The price limit for category M1 will not apply to pure electric vehicles with 8 or 9 seats if the beneficiary is a self-employed person or a company.
All vehicle prices referred to in this document are understood to be invoice prices, excluding taxes and after commercial discounts.
25% of the subsidy for this criterion is earmarked for vehicles manufactured in the EU.
Dealerships, points of sale, and leasing companies will be able to help process subsidy applications, provided that they are companies authorized to market vehicles through sale or leasing and operate in Spain.
The following are considered beneficiaries of the programme:
Subsidies are limited to one vehicle per beneficiary. If the beneficiary is self-employed, they may obtain a maximum of three subsidised vehicles; and if they are a company, they may obtain a maximum of ten subsidised vehicles.
