    The beneficiary companies are HYDUM PUERTOLLANO, ALIER, CIMSA CEMENTOS ESPAÑA and BIOTERMICA VILLANUEVA. With these tenders, the Industrial Decarbonisation PERTE (strategic projects for economic recovery and transformation) has now awarded, in its different facilities, nearly 570 million euros to a total of 93 projects all across Spain. With regard to the PERTE-VEC (electric and connected vehicles), the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has awarded nearly 2.5 billion euros to 300 companies through the three calls it has launched. The fourth grant package, endowed with 1.25 billion euros will soon be convened.

    Spain stands out at the ITB Tourism Expo in Berlin as a preferred destination for German tourists, which in 2024 grew by 8.6%.

    Germany is the third largest tourist source market and the second largest in terms of expenditure. In 2024, 11.9 million German tourists visited our country, 8.6% more than in 2023; these tourists spent 17.5% more, up to €15.527 billion. In January, the German market continued to grow in terms of expenditure, by 6% compared to January 2024. By region, the Canary Islands received the most German tourists in January, with 228,323, followed by the Balearic Islands (72,260) and Andalusia (65,241), the region that underwent the highest growth in the number of German tourists. Jordi Hereu visited the tourism fair and highlighted Spain's strength in tourism and its prominent position in Europe as one of the leading and most advanced destinations in areas such as sustainability and the digitisation of tourism. The ITB Tourism Expo is one of the most important events in the tourism sector, along with Fitur and the World Travel Market in London. This year, Spain has approximately 300 exhibitors, including hotels, chains, agencies and other companies in the sector.
